One of the purposes of this blog is to make sure no one is in the position to lose their retirement savings. Yes, you can claim I "blew it" in not forecasting the big downturn of 2008. But, I was impacted like everyone else and was just as concerned. Fortunately, I held my breath and hung in the market and today have gained everything back plus some. Below is a video I found that helps a little to understand what are the needs / issue of a retirement account.
