Where will the market go from here ?
OK, if you are like most people, your portfolio has done pretty well over the last 3 months. Yes, we have had some bumps but, I believe the bumps are a good thing. I have learned my lesson when the market goes up too quickly, so I am happy to see some modest pull backs. Having said that, I am looking to review my portfolios for the next movement. Unfortunately, we are coming up on December, a favorite month for yearly dividend payment on mutual funds. My strategy is to review each of the funds I have to see when or if the dividends will be paid. If the market continues to go up and the Fed continues with its current policies, and unemployment starts to go down, any decrease in the funds prices as a results of the dividend distribution will come back shortly. So reinvest those dividends and sit tight with your dividend paying funds.I'm bullish through the end of the year and even further if the current tax cuts get extended. I'm carefully looking at Tech / Software funds, watching the health care related funds and of course monitoring the commodities. Watch the funds / sectors that underperformed this year for some potential next year.
