Wall Street - Is it fixed ?

Tonight on 60 Minutes, the below story about "quant traders" appeared. As you can see below their methods are a bit unusual and not based on normal investment strategies. To me it's more like a "bet" on a game that pays constantly. At this point I'm convinced my strategies are still intact. Tell me what you think ?
