It's getting colder, some of my favorite times of the year. Why ? Yes, the changes of the trees here in the northeast are great, but additionally, the December dividend distributions are coming from the mutual funds. I love them. I love them because they vary very little in price, and pay big dividends....If you can't wait, try investing in some of these gas /oil and pipeline companies. Check them out, I like them the best....Kinder Morgan Partners (KMR), which pays about a 8% dividend, payable quarterly, and SSGRX - Blackrock Energy & Resources which has a history of paying a dividends in December of over $9.00. Not bad for a stock selling now for around $30.00. Now is the time to get in and hold onto them. To me, these are definitely a buy and hold and great for a retirement portfolio.....well as long as Obama doesn't outlaw the hydrocarbons !
